Miramar was mandated by the Chief Sales Officer of a multi-billion dollar valuation DevOps platform, to appoint a Director of EMEA Sales. Reporting to the Global Head of Enterprise, this person would have responsibility for building on the business’ high profile and reputation within the developer community to grow the Enterprise business across EMEA.
Our client required an exceptional business builder, who had evidence of leading rapid growth, to significant scale, of a technology facing enterprise software business across EMEA, and of building a high-performance sales team. Given that the majority of DevOps platforms remain relatively small in EMEA, particularly in enterprise revenue, Miramar explored the full breadth of the Enterprise Software market in EMEA, focusing on those businesses which have experienced the highest recent growth, and where the channel to market is the CTO and CIO community within enterprise customers.
Throughout the search there was a debate over the importance of knowledge of the DevOps domain, versus enterprise sales growth in the candidate profile. Our extensive search and interview process resulted in a shortlist of 7 candidates, providing the client with a range of experience profiles in order to make an informed decision. The client has appointed an experienced sales leader who had previously grown an EMEA enterprise security software business to successful exit.
